Disciples Path: Week 5: Day 1 – Living Faith is Sharing Faith

Romans 12:1-2, The Message

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Our faith isn’t meant to stay in the pew on Sunday morning. God invites us to bring Him into the ordinary parts of our day — the quiet moments, the daily routines, the familiar places. In Romans 12, Paul reminds us that worship isn’t just what happens in church; it’s what happens when we give every moment to God as an offering. When we surrender our ordinary life to Him, even small things become sacred. Preparing a meal for your family, encouraging a friend, or doing your work with integrity — all of these can reflect God’s character to others.

Sometimes, the most powerful witness isn’t loud or dramatic. It’s simply living with peace and purpose when others are anxious or lost. Don’t underestimate the impact of your consistency, your kindness, or your calm presence. People around you notice more than you realize. Every act of faithfulness, every prayer whispered for someone, every small step of obedience is a way God can shine through your life.

A faithful life, offered to God day by day, becomes a light that quietly draws others toward Him. You don’t have to be perfect — just willing to let God work through your ordinary moments.

Practical Step: Each morning, offer one part of your day to God: ‘Lord, use this ordinary moment to show someone who You are.’

Prayer: Lord, help me live my faith in simple, quiet ways that reflect Your love to others. Use my life to draw someone closer to You. Amen.
