The Mathematics of Joy

Scripture:
“The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen.” — Luke 2:20

The shepherds did not keep their joy to themselves. They shared it. And in sharing it, joy expanded. Joy was never meant to be contained; it grows when it moves. Community becomes the place where joy deepens, where hope is named aloud, where gratitude finds language.

Sometimes joy becomes clearer when we speak it. Other times, we need others to remind us of it. Shared joy strengthens bonds and restores perspective. It reminds us that God’s goodness is not an isolated experience.

Joy is sustained when it is shared.

Application:
Share a word of gratitude or encouragement with someone today.

Sentence Prayer:
God, help me both receive and offer joy generously.

40 Days of Gratitude Reminder:
