Scripture:
“He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death — even death on a cross.” — Philippians 2:8
The world often defines love in terms of strength, dominance, or control. Scripture tells a different story. God reveals love through humility, service, and sacrifice. Power, in the kingdom of God, looks like self-giving.
This is one of the most challenging paradoxes of love: love wins not by force, but by faithfulness. Jesus does not cling to power; He pours Himself out. And in doing so, He reveals a new way of being human.
Love, as Christ shows us, is not about being above others — it is about being with them.
Application:
Notice where you might be tempted to use power to protect yourself rather than love to serve others.
Sentence Prayer:
Jesus, reshape my understanding of power through Your self-giving love.
40 Days of Gratitude Reminder:
